BIO
Krista is a creative leader, choreographer, and arts administrator with more than 15 years of experience across the dance and performing arts sector. She moved to Chicago in 2011 and spent her early career at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, where she helped shape and support the growth of the organization’s training programs — overseeing operations, contributing to curriculum development, and managing the financial systems for initiatives generating more than $1.6M in annual revenue.

Her leadership in arts administration naturally evolved alongside her artistic work. After joining BOOM CRACK! Dance Company in 2012, Krista stepped into creative and strategic roles that combined choreography, direction, and long-term planning. She now serves as the company’s Finance & Operations Director, supporting organizational structure, mission-aligned programming, and an environment where dancers and creators can thrive.

As a choreographer and educator, Krista specializes in hip-hop and contemporary street styles. She has taught and created work for performing arts high schools, colleges, festivals, and pre-professional programs across the country, including Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's Create Intensives, Booker T. Washington High School of the Performing and Visual Arts, Dreyfoos School of the Arts, The Chicago Luvabulls, the Alabama Dance Festival, and more!

Krista holds an MBA with a focus in leadership and marketing, bringing a strategic lens to all facets of her work. Whether she’s in the studio or behind the scenes, she blends creative instinct with clear, thoughtful structure — shaping work that is honest, community-focused, and grounded in strong artistic vision.
