Performance Experience

Throughout my career as an artist, I have trained in various styles and techniques including ballet, pointe, jazz, musical theatre, tap, Horton, contemporary, hip hop, and tumbling. I have had the opportunity to train with notable professionals such as Peter Chu, Tammy Compton (Dyke), Joshua Bergasse, Bill Hotaling, Joe Lanteri, Karen Gayle, Candace Brown, Miguel Antonio, Tony Tzar, and many more.

Graduating from the University of Iowa in 2011, I completed my degree in Business Management, Entrepreneurship Certificate in the Performing Arts, and Dance Minor. In alignment with my studies, I pursued and was granted an Internship position at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (HSDC) in the summer of 2010. Following graduation in 2011, I was selected as HSDC's Kemper Fellow Recipient. This series of events planted a seed in the Windy City as I carved out my new home in Chicago.

Upon moving, my artistic focus shifted towards industry hip hop. I began to train consistently under the direction of Trae Turner - my persistence and determination enabled me to expand my horizons. Under Trae's unparalleled mentorship, I joined BOOM CRACK! Dance Company in September 2012.

Throughout my career I have taken the stage to perform and inspire audiences in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Dallas, Nashville, St Louis, Des Moines, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Omaha and of course, Chicago. I recognized at an early age, performing was where I gained my confidence - my ability to connect with others through movement. Being on stage ignites an indescribable feeling. I am grateful to still be able to do what I love.
